DACH Digital Marketing Manager - (Berlin)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day planning, implementation and reporting of the digital marketing strategy across all channels in DACH region.

The Role:

Working closely with the Country Manager and liaising with the Digital Marketing team in Manchester, England.  You will create and manage the most efficient and locally relevant marketing campaigns to generate brand awareness, website traffic and sales. You will manage tracking and reporting, utilising Google Analytics and other analytics tools to assess the performance of campaigns and to guide relevant commercial decision making. By working together with Communication Manager and team in Manchester, you will ensure availability of relevant content in German for each digital marketing channel in due time and Boohoo tone of voice. You will constantly review new technologies to keep Boohoo at the forefront of developments in digital marketing in DACH region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Paid Search: utilise knowledge of Paid Search best practices and strategies in DACH to optimise our Shopping campaigns. You will be focused on improving the campaigns’ ROI, whilst generating sufficient levels of traffic. PPC is an in-house function.

Paid Social & Display: Focusing on Instagram and FB advertising, your goal is to reach the target audience and secure a solid ROI. In addition, you will responsible for retargeting campaigns, and setting up and managing video campaigns on Youtube when needed.

Affiliates & Partnerships: Working alongside the Affiliates team in Manchester, you will recommend local Partnerships and local adaptation of the Affiliates program to drive traffic and as a result achieve sales performance for this channel. You will manage the local adaptation of the affiliate program to increase performance from existing affiliates through new or locally revised programs (including introduction to new local affiliate partnerships, launch support, conversion tracking etc). You will propose all relevant digital partners and co-manage local relations with them.

Email / CRM: Working together with the CRM team in Manchester, you will make recommendations and drive CRM action plans, including locally relevant email planning, e-newsletter registrations, membership program subscriptions, promotional programs, etc. You will manage the DE email planning, track the performance and recommend localised modifications as needed. You will analyse customer behaviour and recommend personalised CRM strategies. You will work with the CRM team in Manchester to produce meaningful routine and ad-hoc reporting that are appropriate to the local German customer.

Reporting: You will be responsible for reporting on all the digital marketing activities.

The skill and experience you will need:

The ideal candidate will have a Digital marketing background (brand or retail), ideally in Fashion and a strong experience in Paid Search. Good understanding, and preferably also experience in one of the following channels: Affiliates, Paid Social or CRM would be ideal. Given that this is a new role, within a fast-growing and rapidly changing organisation, you need to have entrepreneurial qualities and be flexible to jump on new projects even if they’re out of the initially defined job scope.

Native German and fluent English is a must

• You have passion for creating things from scratch – you’ll play a big part in defining your own role and the processes, working with a team that will allow you to do a great job. You will initially have to coordinate or execute many activities yourself.

• An important part of your job, especially at the beginning, will be to act as an ambassador for the German customers at Manchester HQ and to ensure that Boohoo Germany needs stay top-of-mind where it matters most. This will entail working alongside and building relationships with many different people across the HQ Marketing team.

• The ideal candidate should be an expert in PPC, in data tracking and using metrics to identify, interpret and capitalise on Digital marketing trends.

• Proven experience in a Digital Marketing position, ideally with a track record in E-commerce.

• A demonstrable ability to come up with innovative, off-the-beaten-track Digital marketing and communication initiatives that increase site performances as well as brand awareness.

• A shrewd commercial eye and a commitment to effective sales-driving marketing and return on investment.

• Highly organised and analytical as well as excellent communication and business development skills.
