We are on the hunt for a Group Head of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability for boohoo, boohooMAN, Nasty Gal and PrettyLittleThing.

What you’ll do at boohoo Group plc:

As a new function the Group Head of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability role you will be in charge of developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental and sustainable strategies. You will also be responsible for communication of your plan, formulating budgets and reporting your green strategies for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities                 

  • Implement changes and communicate them effectively to the workplace, community and customer.
  • Measure company’s CSR and sustainability performance and set targets for the following 6/12 months
  • Assess the organisation's current CSR and sustainability performance and identify and prioritise the organisation's key issues and recommend actions for proactively addressing these
  • Formulate action plans with defined objectives, targets and responsibilities to support agreed upon CSR and sustainability focus areas and ensure they are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls and measurement systems are in place to support sustainability efforts
  • Measure and monitor progress against CSR and sustainability strategies, objectives and performance targets and ensure all required reporting is accurate and complete
  • Facilitate internal and external communications and visibility on CSR and sustainability issues, create and implement communication strategies to publicise the company's CSR efforts and promote broad awareness of CSR sustainability initiatives, both internally and externally
  • Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organisational communications and education
  • Ensure that the CSR and sustainability function enhances business performance and supports the boohoo groups long-term interests
  • Offer expertise and provide leadership-level support for initiatives led by other departments
  • Build effective partnerships with external organisations to support CSR and sustainability efforts
  • Develop appropriate training content, programmes and modules for use across the group and with any external suppliers
  • Identify areas for strategic programmes and partnerships, piloting and evaluating the success of approaches, and developing co-ordinated rollout plans to review with the Group Counsel and Company Secretary.
  • Conduct horizon scanning on trends and approaches and collect insights from other relevant companies and government.
  • Compile and draft approaches, policies and standards for internal sign off.

  • Capacity to manage and complete projects in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to highlight problems and make improvement suggestions, seeking practical ways to overcome barriers
  • Remaining calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Degree in CSR or related field
  • Ability to build relationships with the wider team, other departments, Management and external suppliers
