We're on a journey, taking the best people with us and now we are looking for experienced Compliance Technician to join our team in Leicester! As majority of our garments are manufactured in Leicester, you will be at the forefront of “fast fashion” revolution. Working closely with our suppliers to ensure that all of boohoo Group requirements around ethical, compliance and conformance matters are met. You will also be collaborating with our Internal Auditors and Compliance Manager to guarantee fully compliant supply base that supports the business growth.
 
Ideally you will have an experience within garments manufacturing environment together with strong background in addressing and resolving compliance issues.
 

What you’ll do as a Compliance Technician…

  • Works with new and existing suppliers to support achievement and maintenance of compliance with Boohoo Group PLC Supplier Code of Conduct and Modern Day Slavery Statement ensuring that due diligence is followed.
  • Manage all aspects of the audit process including support of 1st and 2nd tier suppliers to rectify any non-compliance issues.
  • Provides clear transparency of supply chain – highlight & Identify compliance risks.
  • Manages the Sedex action plan to ensure that key targets are met and maintained and drive & continue to improve Sedex audit results.
  • Reduce risks by working with the supplier to ensure corrective action plans are put in place.
  • Establish new supply fit for purpose minimum requirements.
  • Ensure that supplier compliance performance is tracked and monitored through reporting, visiting and that profitable decisions are driven through the actions.
  • Ensuring internal databases are kept up to date and are robust for internal and external auditing.
  • Assists suppliers in the compliance of new business requirements as set out in the boohoo supplier manual.
  • Stays relevant with all compliance and MDS legislation and advising any new requirements – will also include attending seminars and forums as and when required.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates supplier performance and delivers reports to the business, this will include capacity and performance.
  •  Manage and maintains communications between suppliers and Head Office
  • Undertake business travel as required to deliver above actions – To include travel with buying, design and technical team members and may include other territories.
  • Produces reports and activity logs as required by senior management.
  • Coordinates workload for administrator and manages performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to create mutually profitable working relationships.
