Job Summary:

Working within the Digital Analytics function in our Manchester head office, you will be responsible for measuring, understanding and reporting the impact of ecommerce / digital marketing activities. You will work with a range of web analytics tools to assist with the development strategies for reaching larger and more engaged audiences online.

You will determine where website visitors are coming from, how deeply they are engaging with website content, how effectively they are being converted and at what rate they are being retained. You will be given the opportunity to report your findings back to stakeholders and should be focused on deploying your insights to drive improved business outcomes over time.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence and enhance boohoo’s web proposition, driving improvements by analysing web analytics data (Google Analytics Premium). As a global business with rapid international expansion, analysis will be required across multiple international sites, with a focus on understanding our conversion issues by territory and providing localised recommendations.

You will be experienced in compiling reports through Google Analytics, and have the ability to implement across a range of digital platforms. Although there is an expectation to be able to work independently, a collaborative approach is taken to projects where input from all members is valued, so enjoying working with and contributing to a team is essential. A proactive attitude is essential to ensure that analysis, recommendations and ideas are consistently being reported to the Digital Analytics Manager and wider Insight team.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor consistent analytical reporting across the various brands to establish baselines and trends. From this foundation, use analytics to explore opportunities to continuously optimise and improve performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business performance levers, adding insight to information and helping to form recommendations as to how to improve performance.
  • Identify abandonment causes and problems in journeys across key segments e.g. new & returning, mobile, tablet & desktop.
  • Prepare and present compelling visual representations of the analysis that is easy to share and understand, with various stakeholders from exec level down.
  • Identify the best analytical approaches to journey conversion measurement, recommending tracking changes or enhancements to achieve best-in-class analytics.
  • Interrogate data within Google Analytics understanding misconfigurations.
  • Implementing and modifying analytics tracking, site and marketing data capture pixels using Google Tag Manager

    Essential:

  • An analytical approach to understanding customer behaviour. Identify areas for analysis, understand ’what’ happened and ’why’
  • Strong data visualisation skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Office - especially Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups, Macros etc).
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • A passion for improvement.
  • Well organised, detail-oriented, Deadline-focused, hard-working and self-motivated.
  • Ability to gather and interpret business needs and requirements.
  • Web and gadget savvy (tablet, mobile etc.).
  • Confident presenting ideas at various management levels.
  • Customer focused as well as commercially astute, with a well-rounded view of boohoo/boohooMAN/Nasty Gal’s key goals


    Desirable:

  • Experience using SQL to pull, extract and analyse data (Big Query preferred).
  • Currently working in a web analyst or similar analytical role.
  • Foundational understanding of CSS & HTML & JavaScript.
  • Good working knowledge of statistical methods.
  • An Interest or experience in data science
  • Be able to provide examples of previous conversion analysis.
  • Detail-oriented, Deadline-focused, hard-working and self-motivated.
