We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing HR Team based at our Operations Centre in Burnley.

The core hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00 - 17:30 and Friday 09:00 - 16:30, however flexibility will be required on occasion given we are a 24/7 operation and you may be asked to temporarily change your working hours to support as needed.

The key focus of this role is to provide a professional HR Business Partnering service to the operational management teams; translating people strategy into deliverable people plans aimed at supporting business change and growth.

 What you will do!
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practice to ensure advice and guidance is accurate and up to date.
  • Work with the Head of HR to ensure that operational line managers maintain an up to date knowledge of HR policies and processes, and have the necessary capability to implement these.
  • Coach managers to address routine employee issues (to include terms and conditions, absence, flexible working requests, performance issues) in keeping with both boohoo culture and employment legislation.
  • Manage and resolve sometimes complex employee relations issues – conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations as required.
  • Conduct weekly people meetings with respective business units / stakeholders.
  • Holistic business partnership of key business areas as well as key stakeholder management within said business areas.
  • Analysis of trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group and develop appropriate solutions, programmes and policies to improve.
  • Support with the management of long term absence cases including home visits and occupational health referrals.
  • Offer advice and support at disciplinary and grievance hearings – provide feedback and coaching to line managers following process to ensure continuous skills and knowledge improvement.
  • Actively support and participate in ‘Your Voice’ (Employee Committee) at the operations centre and or Head office.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Liaise with resourcing team to ensure professional and accurate process for issue, tracking and processing of all new starter documentation.
  • Deliver a motivational and engaging induction process, reviewing and amending to ensure fit for purpose as needed.
  • Ensure on-boarding represents the brand culture and effectively communicates our values.

What are we looking for:

  • CIPD qualification at level 5 or above
  • Previous HRBP experience
  • Experience of working with significant onsite headcount
  • Ideally coming from a fast-paced manufacturing, retail, ecomms or warehousing environment
