Job Summary:

The Job holder is responsible for understanding and managing all aspects of the relationship between Finance / Analytics and the Product teams.

Finance at boohoo has a broad remit, including Analytics/BI, Data Science and Business Transformation. A key aspect of the role is to interact with the Product teams to ensure business improvement and change projects are delivered in a timely, efficient way.

Tasks, duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage the Buying & Merchandising, Studio & Design team KPI review process, working with the teams to ensure action is taken to deliver changes highlighted through KPI review
  • Work with the B&M / QC / Technical teams to improve understanding of drivers of returns, supporting in taking action to reduce controllable factors relating to returns
  • Work with Studio team to improve understanding of performance, including time through studio and level of unpublished product
  • Work with Design team to improve understanding and accuracy of design KPIs, and how they contribute to the overall Group product offering
  • Working with the wider finance teams, understand Product’s role in current trading / financial performance, around margin, stock position, impact of range width/depth and offer recommendations for improvement
  • Work with Transformation and Data Science teams to support the B&M teams in the delivery of change projects, including around both process automation and the development of AI tools to support decision making in the department
  • Support the Director of Sustainability with reporting and analysis around key sustainability metrics
  • Support the operations and supply chain teams to reduce costs of handling product through its life cycle, in particular around returns
  • Look to share best practice with other Group brands

Requirements:

  • 5+ years finance / analytics experience.
  • Experience of working in Retail alongside a Buying & Merchandising team (essential)
  • Experience of helping to deliver change.
  • Detailed understanding of accounting software and BI tools.
