Be the vision and voice for our trend setting customers! With over 500 new styles and shapes hitting our website every week, our BoohooMan technical team are looking for a strong and confident individual to join the team as a QA Returns Technologist.

Job summary:

QA Returns Technologist to work alongside our quality team, to improve returns and implement an integral link between our QA team and Supply Chain, as well as Buying and Merchandising teams in Head Office. Instrumentally helping to achieve business objectives around returns.

The role:

  • Support to the BoohooMan QA team; analysing returns across all product areas and suppliers.
  • Supporting the Technical team and QA manager in managing AQL checks on high returners in house and across the supply base.
  • Using technical product knowledge to support the QA team in improving high returning product. Sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely and agile manner, in line with KPI’s.
  • Responsible for ensuring production is approved as per guidelines set by QA team.
  • QC checking on scheduled deliveries, reporting any issues to the QA manager. Creating QC reports detailing any issues found, sending to the factory and updating wider teamof issues found.
  • Ensuring compliance with product safety and reach legislation; assessing risk, advising on relevant testing; recording and resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently.
  • Promoting quality at all times, whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude.
  • Feeding back to QA Manager, peers and Technologists with recommendations for improvements to procedures and practices around returns.

The person:

  • Previous experience in a similar technical role essential, a minimum of 1-2 year’s experience in a similar role and fast paced environment.
  • A technically-oriented qualification, preferably at degree level, is preferable. Or equivalent industry experience.
  • A basic understanding of patterns essential.
  • Able to work both individually and part of a team essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fitting and fit issues is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AQL and inspection criteria.
  • Experience of working directly with factories, and thorough understanding of factory production, including work-flow and production control.
  • First class communication skills to both the QA manager and wider team essential.
  • Keen interest in overseas and UK travel essential.
  • Able to meet new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and change direction with agility.
  • Confident using Outlook, Excel and Word. Keen to expand skill set as the role demands.
