As a Photographer with a Studio who strives to be the most creative amongst our competitors, you will be responsible for producing the highest quality fashion imagery for our ecommerce gallery. If you have an eye for detail, passionate about photography and want to stand out from the crowd then we want to hear from you!

Working closely with the studio and styling teams in a fast paced, busy studio environment you will be confident directing models and be a great team player whilst executing a consistent, high level of photography.

Supporting the studio team daily through delivery of photography of products on models which supports the commercial and creative vision of Karen Millen & Coast and ultimately works to enhance conversion. 

Supporting the Studio management team in the coordination of all shoots to ensure the smooth running of the model shoots. This is completed with clear understanding of the Karen Millen and Coast customer, and to support the commercial and financial targets of the organisation

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of studio flash photography, kit and relevant software.
  • Involvement in the set up, direction and shoot of Karen Millen & Coast products.
  • Taking the appropriate lead when directing models and retaining a balanced studio atmosphere in fast paced situations.
  • Executes a high standard of photography to produce quality images ensuring the lighting/focus is appropriate for subject, with or without specific art direction.
  • Execution of setting up lighting, composition, colour accuracy, and exposure for each shot.
  • Provide photographic tests and complete background testing as required.
  • Working alongside onset stylists to create and adhere to composition guidelines.
  • Ensuring all studio equipment is maintained and in a clean working order. Along with communicating equipment needs/failures to the Studio Manager.
  • Adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Will be required to complete ad-hoc offsite projects.

  • Attends training, meetings and other events as requested by direct manager or senior management, including Head of Human Resources.
  • Assists colleagues by completing tasks outside own job role when requested, including supporting associated companies.
  • Maintains own working area in a professional and organised manner.
  • Always strives to improve the department’s operation and increase knowledge of own and related job functions.
