The Role

Provides technical thought leadership for the long-term direction of the company’s vision and technology function, overseeing all technological aspects of new development and enhancements to existing solutions as well as proactively future-proofing the technology functions to ensure the company delivers world class enterprise software solutions to customers

Skills & Experience:

Essentials:

  • The long-term direction of the company’s technology vision and  function
  • Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure
  • Maintains technology standards
  • Directs all activities necessary to keep the technology infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively while ensuring compliance with established standards and policies
  • Leads and directs the work of others, motivating by thought and action
  • Find innovative technical solutions to existing and future business problems
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Integrates new and future technologies and trends into development thinking constantly challenging the norm
  • Participate and contribute as a member of the leadership team
  • Advanced degree in a related area
  •  Experience in cyber security issues

The successful candidate will be an established solutions architect, maybe looking for their first Chief Architect role – or a move to a more global, fast paced business. The candidate will have a  strong reputation for innovation and has a proven track record of transforming large & complex technology estates, ideally in high growth software businesses. Intellectually strong, you will combine the passion for outstanding service with the vision and insight to shape the future technology landscape.

Candidate qualities will include;

Technical:

  • Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
  • Experience building software products
  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including networks and programming.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
  • Excellent Understanding of Information Security
  • Excellent commercial experience, encompassing general management, budget management
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven experience in planning, organisation, and development.
  • In-depth understanding of the Company’s goals and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.
