Job Summary:

Is the senior brand representative in Australia. In conjunction with UK based Executive colleagues help develop the Company’s strategic and tactical plans for the region and oversee the successful implementation of agreed strategies. Specifically advising on and building strategic capability to drive sales and profitability by:

Increasing boohoo, boohooMAN & Nasty Gal (group) brand awareness

Ensuring increased ‘localisation’ of the group proposition

Devising and implementing local PR and marketing initiatives

Outstanding communication with UK head office functions while ‘championing’ the Australian customer experience

     

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Manage all activity within the market with particular emphasis on PR, Media, Marketing and Social

 

Manage local agencies to ensure we get maximum benefit from the relationships and hit our commercial targets

 

Ensure all local activities are planned, briefed and implemented with a focus on continual improvement

 

Build a strong list of press and social contacts to ensure we can effectively create buzz around the boohoo brand through social and printed channels.

 

Be the expert on the Australian customer and inform the central UK team on changes needed for local market covering all aspects including (but not limited to) site design and UX, pricing, range and creative.

 

Manage and develop a team of marketing professionals including PR and social

 

Investigate, evaluate and recommend strategic partnership opportunities within the market to drive sales

 

Act as the brand ambassador for boohoo in Australian with all local stakeholders

 

 

 Managing the Team:

  • Understands, communicates, and manages employees to achieve the goals of the organisation.
  • Experience within the fashion industry and has an understanding of the brand & competitors 
  • Utilises leaderships skills and motivation techniques to maximise employee performance and satisfaction.
  • Monitors the team’s overall service and team work daily and identifies and implements strategies to increase service delivery/productivity.
  • Establishes and delivers effective communication strategies within the department.
  • Leads by example in all work related activities, acting as a role model for employees.
  • Proactively delivers job related training for all department members.
  • Identify wider training needs and to create a departmental training plan.
  • Encourages, develops and manages effective department employee relations
  • Works with the Head of HR on HR related initiatives and issues

 

Health & Safety:

  • Ensures that all employees within department work in a safe manner
  • Fully understands the fire, emergency and health & safety procedures of the workplace
  • Ensures that all potential and real hazards are taken care of immediately, and are reported appropriately.
  • Works in a safe and responsible manner, within the framework of legislation and workplace specific policies.

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Is an ambassador for the brand
  • Attends training, meetings and other events as requested by senior management,
  • Assists colleagues by completing tasks outside own job role when requested.
