Summary

As part of Boohoo’s central data analytics function and working closely with product teams across the group, this is an exciting opportunity for a data professional to join and have a substantial impact in a dynamic and growing business.

This role will involve working consultatively with a large base of stakeholders across multiple brands and providing clear and engaging insights into a wide variety of topics. This will take the form of complex data analysis/modelling, and development of reporting and self-service solutions using Qlik and other technologies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain insightful and user friendly reports and dashboards.
  • Explore and analyse big datasets, perform deep analysis and use great communication skills to relay findings in a simple and understandable way.
  • Work closely with our product teams to understand their objectives and proactively seek out opportunities for data/analytics to make an impact.
  • Work closely with our central data engineering team to communicate technical requirements as well as data processes and structures.
  • Working in an agile way to balance long term development projects with quick and responsive ad hoc requests and troubleshooting.
  • Work with various stakeholders and other insight functions across the business to offer support and expertise where needed.

     

    Required Skills / Experience

  • At least 4 years’ experience using Qlik or similar to develop self-service analytics.
  • Highly proficient using SQL to interrogate data.
  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
  • Excellent data visualisation, interface/report design and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and VBA.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

 

Additional Skills / Experience

  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis and modelling (sampling, hypothesis testing, regression, DoE etc).
  • Experience working with retail buying and merchandising teams.
  • Proficiency with Python or R for data processing, analysis and visualisation.
  • Experience using Qlik NPrinting to develop and manage distributed reports.
