Service Delivery Engineer

 

We are the global fashion retailer of our generation, bringing trends straight off the catwalk and street to our customers’ wardrobe! Things move at a fast pace here, therefore we are looking for a Service Delivery Engineer to join our fast paced dynamic IT team based in Burnley. 

The main responsibility of the role is to maintain all IT Systems to a high standard ensuring operational availability and to respond effectively to all help-desk requests.  An element of this role will involve visiting customer sites and resolving issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages
  • To be responsible for an area of technical expertise
  • Install, assemble and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripheral such as printers, scanners and related hardware as required for new installation and office reconfiguration
  • Visit customer site to repair/fix PCs as well as onsite
  • Act as a technical resource to assist the business users
  • Make hardware and software acquisition recommendations
  • Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software and network technologies
  • Taking ownership of day-to-day issues and working on getting these resolved within the SLA
  • Ensure company vehicle is used as per Company policy and guidelines

 

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must have at least 2-years’ experience working in a support function
  • Active Directory (AD Manager Plus)
  • DHCP/DNS/GPO/RSAT
  • Routers/Switches and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Desktop/laptop and Printer Hardware diagnosis and repair
  • Providing support within a warehouse and/or customer service function
  • Windows 10 & Office 2016 and above
  • Both Mac and Windows devices experience 
  • Office 365 
  • Manage Engine Service Desk or anything similar 
  • Network Patching

 

Desirable skills and experience

  • ITIL Foundation minimum
  • Wireless technology – mobile devices
  • Understanding cloud computing – AWS/Azure and Zero Clients/ThinOS
  • Remote control tools such as Teamviewer/VNC

 

The successful candidate will possess at least some knowledge of the above technologies. You will operate the help-desk, liaise with clients and suppliers, record and monitor system issues resolving or escalating when required.  A full UK driving licence is a must for this role and a company vehicle will be provided when required to visit customer site.
