Brief overview of the role 

As Product Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for driving the analysis and reporting that supports boohoo Group’s understanding of the product portfolio across brands and impact on sales, margin, stock and buying and merchandising strategies. This would suit someone with analytical expertise and knowledge of the buying and merchandising function looking for a role that will provide some autonomy and accountability.


The role - overview of the responsibilities

  • Develop full knowledge of product related data and its sources from across the Group (web data, transactional, CRM, warehouse, third party), working with the data engineering team to ensure available data is as accurate and timely as possible
  • Work with Commercial Finance, Buying & Merchandising and E-commerce to manage and enhance the reporting suite and improve commercial performance across web and app. Review key performance metrics and update as required.
  • Support test & learn programs across the CRM/Digital Marketing and E-Commerce teams, helping structure tests, delivering insight into results & providing recommendations for next steps.
  • Work to develop better techniques for demand forecasting, including the use of AI/ML where appropriate
  • Work to ensure key performance metrics are being used and properly understood throughout the business e.g. product lifecycle.
  • Support the Product teams with self-service analytics, including recommending and facilitating the introduction of new tools, where appropriate.
  • Champion Data as a corporate asset, increasing Data Literacy across boohoo group.
  • Work and share best practice across Group brands. This includes working with key stakeholders to understand the nuances of the different brands and context around customer marketing relative to that brand, different country life stages etc.

Qualifications and experience required

  • Highly numerate and commercially aware
  • Team, project and stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of working with large volumes of data (advanced SQL in GCP/AWS)
  • Experience of data visualisation techniques, including use of QlikView/Tableau/PowerBI/Looker.
  • Working knowledge of advanced algorithms (predictive modelling, forecasting, segmentation etc.)
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Team player, able to work with multiple business functions to achieve objectives
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
