We are looking for a HR Manager to join our e-commerce organisation at a critical time where our business growth is unparalleled. The HR Manager will be a member of a very experienced HR Team and will report to a senior member of the HR Team. The HR Manager will support in the development of the HR strategy and will be an active participant in delivering the HR strategy through specific HR projects ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged. You’ll also manage change, as people processes develop and evolve. Above all, you’ll ensure that a strong, inclusive and supportive Human Resources culture is an everyday reality for our site.

This is an interim role for 9 months with a salary of £40k pro rata

 HR Manager Responsibilities:

 Employee Relations and Engagement

 As a Human Resources Manager, you will oversee all ER activities and support the HR advisors with advice and guidance. You will always aim to form strong relationships with your key stakeholders and ensure that accurate ER and engagement metrics are presented to these stakeholders. You will work with our legal team to gain advice on complex ER cases up to appeal level. 

Recruitment and Selection

You’ll already be passionate about hiring and developing the best and support in streamlining our recruitment processes. You’ll be involved in recruitment panels for Senior Leadership roles, identifying new talent to join the Boohoo family. You’ll also partner with the recruitment advisor at Burnley to help develop Boohoo as the employer brand of choice. Graduate recruitment and assessment centre design will also be a part of your role.

 Lead the delivery of HR strategy

You will be focused on building key relationships in order to support and drive key culture change objectives through HR and other business areas. You will lead on continuous improvements including policy and procedure implementation and day to day HR operational processes supporting in the development of a policy governance structure.  You will work in collaboration with other senior leaders  to develop, review and update HR procedures and processes which support the effective management of employee performance and development.

Learning and development

 You will develop and deliver training modules focused on upskilling our people managers. You will support with the development of our online e-learning system and support with the management of our training budgets ensuring we are working with the best external providers.

Diversity and Inclusion

 You will support us to create an environment where ‘everyday inclusion’ is a real reality. You will support in developing our learning programmes that support our D&I strategy and key monthly events across the Boohoo group. You will support the D&I steering and working groups. 

Employer Reputation

Developing and delivering a strategy that builds both our internal and external employer reputation.

Using employee survey results, working group/forum data and exit interview feedback to build an effective reputation as an employer of choice. You may also attend external recruitment and networking events to build our external employer brand.

Generalist Human Resources

As an experienced HR Manager, you’ll lead and motivate your team. With your open communication and credible decision making, you’ll make sure that we deliver on our strategic people agenda. You’ll also balance commercial, business acumen, with a fair and pragmatic outlook.

HR Manager Qualifications:

You have a bachelor degree or equivalent.
You have significant Human Resources experience at a management level.

CIPD qualification is desirable.
Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities; you’re able to analyse Human Resources metrics, find root causes and then develop short, medium and long-term plans accordingly.
You always develop effective working relationships with colleagues, at all levels.

You demonstrate a proven, hands-on attitude, while remaining flexible and adaptable.
Demonstrable ability to motivate and positively influence others.
You possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills: you’re also able to proactively manage ambiguity.
You’re intellectually curious; you’ll bring valuable insight to the team and business.
