Ecommerce Executive - Debenhams

Reporting to the Senior Trading Executive this role is responsible for implementing and monitoring the ecommerce trading activity on across Debenhams site.

This involves managing the promotional plan and brand campaigns across the Debenhams website ensuring all promotional activity goes live on time, correctly and according to plan.  Monitoring the ongoing performance and making any recommendations for change and feeding this back to team members and managers as appropriate is an important part of this role.

A key part of trading is to understand the performance.  You will use analytics tools to monitor performance in order to understand the success of the promotional programme and make recommendations for changes. 

You will work with the team to use personalisation software to test new ways of executing promotions, and showing different content to different customer groups working with the user experience team on any findings and new innovative ideas.

You will demonstrate an awareness of our competitors through monitoring competitor activity and use this to recommend changes, which will maximise conversion.

Tasks, duties & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day execution of the promotional plan across all applications and territories.
  • Monitor analytics to measure performance of activity and make recommendations to change.
  • Work with the user experience tool by testing and measuring different approaches to messaging, creative, and targeting those, which drive the best results and response.
  • Work closely with IT and Marketing to delivery effective content changes and promotions.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the different markets and adapt trading activity to maximize sales for the different customers in each market.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research on competitors in the different markets and the trading conditions and send this information to eCommerce Managers and team members as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to maintain flawless customer service across all pre-determined territories.
