Job Summary:

Assists the buying team for the designated area and takes responsibility for a small part of the range. Works proactively with the buyers to gain a full understanding of the range they are supporting and supports with the management and development of the trainees within the department.

All tasks and activities to be undertaken within the framework of the overall department and business goals and strategy.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Completes weekly reporting on area of range allocated.
  • Analyses best and worst performers and reports to buyer.
  • Presents relevant information in weekly trading meetings with Director.
  • Is responsible for buying allocated areas of range within defined parameters.
  • Is proactive in developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships in order to achieve business goals.
  • Works closely with merchandisers to ensure decisions based on accurate data and with specified framework.
  • Tracks intake.
  • Undertakes weekly analysis of ‘no sales’ and actions as necessary.
  • Liaises with E-Commerce as necessary to ensure productive relationship.
  • Allocates appropriate tasks to trainees and supports their development
