Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence, and working collaboratively with the broader Financial Reporting and Controls team, you'll bring an excellent understanding of financial accounting, finance systems, reporting , data warehousing and analysis to a team that leads change and transformation across the organization.

Joining at an exciting time in boohoo’s continued growth, the finance function is undertaking a major replacement of existing software and applications and also embarking on a World Class Finance change programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day functioning of finance systems, financial and management reporting enablement across the team, working collaboratively across the whole boohoo group on projects and working parties whilst representing finance and providing user support and expertise to resolve issues and problems

Based in boohoo Head Office in Manchester (though requiring occasional travel to other sites),  this is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious Finance Systems Accountant or Analyst to take on an exciting transformational role in an extraordinary business.

Task, Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibility for ensuring current financial systems, controls and applications are maintained, configured correctly and any issues raised are escalated in a timely and efficient manner. An initial point of contact for finance system queries, you will also act as a business partner between Finance and IT, assisting with many varied projects, testing and deployment.

Create and maintain financial & management reporting spreadsheets, models, data visualization tools and data extraction SQL ensuring that at all stages of design, development and deployment, the solutions are robust and ‘fit-for-purpose’ ; support with data and systems expertise combined with financial insight to resolve problems quickly.

Assigned to the replacement Finance/ERP System Project team, you will ensure that relevant financial and business insight and requirements are captured. Supporting scoping, development , UAT, change management and delivery phases, you will be a key financial partner to this project.

Finance business partner/POC for existing working groups maintaining and commissioning existing ERP systems across the organization. Working to an agile project management framework, you will join the daily standups and sprint planning workshops, prioritise work on specific tasks and be a key member of the teams.

Working with the financial reporting team – identify future requirements and scope, capture and process new  data sources and build into existing processes and storage.

Providing support and advice to users, utilizing expertise and knowledge, to improve or rectify problems

Support the finance team through adhoc delivery of relevant, timely financial/management reporting and reconciliations to strict accounting deadlines.
