Job Summary

Responsible for the product optimisation across given websites within Dorothy Perkins/Burton and Wallis. Supporting the Product Optimisation Manager in ensuring we are representing the product range in an effective commercial way, which makes the customer journey a smooth transaction by maintaining data mapping, sort order and search features.

Performing daily analysis across all categories and territories ensuring that our product catalogue, attributions and categorisation is optimised to show the best product mix in the right place, at the right time. Working at speed and with attention to detail is a must-have in the fast paced nature of the business.

Working closely with IT, 3rd party suppliers, buying, marketing and studio teams to ensure that we are able to reflect the requirements of the business through new systemic functionalities.

Using Google analytics to understand key themes and trends within search and taxonomy data is required daily. You will also analyse and understand how our customers behave and engage in different markets and on different devices and relate this back to the product catalogue.

Assisting the Product Optimisation Manager in understanding our customers search behaviour and making amendments to our search dictionary to increase conversion on sessions with search. You will also contribute to the set up and management of A/B testing Sort Order through our roadmap.

This role requires strong trend awareness as well as the ability to actively provide and use analysis to develop sort order and search merchandising strategies on Dorothy Perkins/Burtons/Wallis:

  • Presenting the product pool in the best possible way to maximize site conversion and revenue.
  • Making the customer journey at locale as simple as possible.
  • Ensuring that the customer can use filtering component to narrow down their search.
Tasks, duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for updating onsite mappings in line with product and search data.
  • Responsible for managing the search dictionary for the site, including the additions of any translations data.
  • Ensuring product is live on site with all key components.
  • Analysing each Site daily ensuring that you have captured all requirements within the Sort Order and filtering options.
  • Develop close working relationships with IT, studio, marketing and buying to ensure that all business priorities are met, ensure that communication between the teams is regular and productive.
  • Sharing weekly reporting with Senior managers and Directors.
