Inventory Manager

Role Description

As an Inventory Manager for our new eFulfilment Centre in Wellingborough you will be part of the site leadership team and responsible for leading the Inventory team on site. You will be accountable for managing the stock routines and the accurate maintenance of our inventory and WMS in order to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time every time. You will be responsible for capacity planning on site across the brands are stored in our efulfilment centre. You will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and owning your own tasks to completion of the highest standard on a 24/7 operation.


About The Candidate

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a direct team form of 4+ team managers (and more with growth) operating 20hrs 7 days a week
  • Inspire the inventory team to look after our customers and brands
  • Managing all aspects of inventory and stock control from receipt through to despatch
  • Managing the most efficient flow of all types of merchandise through varying storage locations at all times
  • Own and deliver internal inventory KPI’s
  • Ability to manage a WMS and operating systems
  • Ensure systems are maintained to achieve accurate stock records
  • Maintain SOPs for all main inventory control processes and functions
  • Planning and leading stock audits / PI checks / cycle counts
  • Capacity planning for seasonal changes across the five brands
  • Providing support to the operations team on all inventory matters
  • Leading significant amount of stock projects – migration, relocations, layouts
  • Seek to continually improve inventory processes and identify areas of improveme

Skills Required

  • Experience leading an inventory team in a fast-paced environment, preferably eCommerce.
  • Experience managing warehouse management systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Experience leading and developing large teams
  • Ability to manage internal relationships with stakeholders e.g. Buying & Merchandising and wider Supply Chain teams
