We are looking to recruit an IT Procurement Manager who is able to work at pace and someone who is willing to throw themselves in and not be afraid to get involved. You'll be responsible for ensuring that Boohoo adopts a sensible and strategic approach to the procurement of IT agreements, ensuring software/hardware are purchased ethically, at the most competitive cost and with minimal risk to the business.  Key to the role is the management of key supplier’s to ensure that first-class service levels are achieved continually and to ensure waste and inefficiency are driven out of the supply chain.


Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Procurement in developing and implementing procurement strategy and policies and cost transformation plans across Boohoo Group
  • Support the Head of Procurement in the development and implementation of a supplier relationship management framework for, to be utilised by both the Buyers and business stakeholders where applicable
  • Deputise for the Head of Procurement as appropriate
  • Leading the full sourcing, negotiation and contract review process of high-value and key strategic reviews and acquisitions
  • Formulation of category strategy plans for various category areas
  • Achievement of Procurement KPI’s and annual savings targets
  • Contract management and negotiation
  • Pro-active relationship management of key suppliers (new and incumbent) to ensure contracts and commercial arrangements are competitively priced, legally robust and that service levels are established, monitored and exceeded by our suppliers
  • Drive added value and continuous improvement from our key suppliers
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the supply markets and related cost-models across a number of defined category areas
  • Preparation and presentation of business cases to the Board of Directors and Heads of Department
  • Sourcing of international suppliers and the development of supplier relationship management processes for international suppliers
  • Line Management of the Indirect Buyer : IT
  • Mentoring and training of other department members and stakeholders as appropriate.

Team Management :

  • Understands, communicates, and manages employees to achieve the goals of the organisation
  • Utilises leaderships skills and motivation techniques to maximise employee performance and satisfaction
  • Monitors employee’s work and identifies and implements strategies to increase service delivery/productivity
  • Establishes and delivers effective communication strategies within the department
  • Leads by example in all work related activities, acting as a role model for employees
  • Proactively delivers job related training for all department members
  • Works with the Head of Procurement & Facilities and the Head of HR to identify wider training needs and to create a departmental training plan
  • Encourages, develops and manages effective employee relations across all areas of the business
  • Identifies candidates for succession planning & promotion and brings these to the attention of the Head of Procurement, Head of HR and Director(s)
  • Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, presentation, body language and conduct is maintained by all departmental employees.
Works with the Head of HR on the following tasks:
  • Screens, interviews and selects potential candidates
  • Performance reviews
  • Performance management
  • Coaching
  • Counselling
  • Discipline & Grievance
  • Attendance/absence management
  • Wage and salary administration.
  •  Is an ambassador for the brand
  • Attends training, meetings and other events as requested by direct manager or senior management, including Head of Human Resources.
  • Assists colleagues by completing tasks outside own job role when requested, including supporting associated companies.
  • Maintains own working area in a professional and organised manner.
  • Always strives to improve the department’s operation and increase knowledge of own and related job functions.
